What is a PHO?
A Provider Hospital Organization, or PHO, is a member organization of hospitals and providers with the authority to manage network contracts on their behalf. Today, with insurers and the government providing payment based on quality of care and outcomes, PHOs play a critical role in assisting healthcare professionals in practice management and population health.
